New Plymouth, Green Turtle Cay

Sister city to Key West, the historic settlement of New Plymouth, an 18th century village-by-the-sea with pastel cottages and white picket fences, offers sea-side restaurants, gift shops, island bars, grocery stores and museums. After the revolutionary war, settlers loyal to the British Crown known as Loyalists, left the United States for the Bahamas. Today, the Bahamas have a self-governing democracy and travelers from all over the world visit the island to enjoy its clear, blue water, ocean breezes and easy-peasy way of island life.
